2020 Midlands Gives #givingtuesday Drive
The Midlands Gives donation drive took place in May 2020, just after the first anniversary of Joe’s death. Due to social distancing restrictions, we could not participate in an actual project in Joe’s honor, but we were able to celebrate his memory by donating through Midlands Gives to Special Olympics of South Carolina and the Saluda Shoals Foundation. We specifically requested allocation of the funds for the Special Olympics Area 7 basketball program where Joe participated, and for Leo’s Landing at Saluda Shoals Park, an inclusive park designed for people with all types of limitations and abilities. We are proud to see our donations going to these amazing organizations, and we couldn’t do it without our donors.
